How to Shop at Tuesday Morning

I’m sharing my tips and tricks for finding the best on-trend items at your local Tuesday Morning store. Keep reading to see how I found items for every room in the house plus toys for June all with huge savings!

Earlier this year, I shared how Tuesday Morning is one of my favorite places to shop for great deals on craft supplies and how I used those supplies to make my own DIY party decor. Today I’m excited to partner with them again to share great tips on how to shop their stores like a pro not only to find great deals on craft supplies but also how to shop for nearly every room in your home! While craft supplies are one of the most fun categories to shop for, there are loads of other things you can find in store—all at a great price!

Keep reading for my top tips on how to shop Tuesday Morning like a pro to find everything from home decor (hello huge throw pillow selection) to kitchen, bath, gourmet food and more.

Tip #1: Take Your Time & Shop Multiple Stores

As a busy mom trying to balance work, mommying and an adult life I feel like I’m always rushing from one errand to the next. My biggest tip for finding the best deals? Take your time to browse the store. Look at every aisle and just don’t rush things. While I totally get that this isn’t always a luxury, if you can make the trip solo (or with a bestie) I highly recommend it!

This brings me to my other top tip: shop multiple stores. Use the store finder to locate the stores in your area and check out as many as you can. Product assortments vary by location and the inventory of each store is continually refreshed. I shopped both the Santa Monica and Culver City locations to find the items you see in this post.

Tip #2: Shop End of Season Sales & Before Peak Seasons Start

Believe it or not, summer is wrapping up here in Los Angeles and many stores are already focusing on back to school season. This means now is a great time to find summer items at your local Tuesday Morning! When shopping the end of each season, you’ll find great buys on items like these adorable rainbow sisal doormats or fun beach towels for the entire family.

Start thinking about upcoming holidays and seasons and shop early! While I’ll be the first to admit that I kinda loathe it when I start seeing Christmas decor when it’s nearly 100 degree outside, shopping before peak seasons start mean you’ll get first pick of unique seasonal items. I found an adorable Christmas stocking felt craft kit that will make a great holiday garland or even little gift card envelopes.

Tip #3: Start in the Back of the Store

Everyone loves a good sale, am I right? Head to the back of the store first to find clearance items and major deals. Hint: they are labeled with colored stickers. My next stop is to check out the rugs because if you spot a good one you gotta grab it. They go fast! After peaking at the area rugs, I work my way back to the front of the store aisle by aisle.

Tip #4: Don’t Skip the Snacks

Did you know they also sell gourmet food thats guaranteed to always be fresh? I like to stock up on good quality olive oil and salt. Two pantry staples that can be more than twice the price at higher end grocery stores. They also have loads of yummy looking snacks and treats so don’t shop when you’re too hungry or you might leave with a cart full of snacks only!

Tip #5: Come in with a plan but Keep your receipts

On the hunt for a particular item like an area rug or side chair? Measure your space before you shop (I even keep a small tape measure in my purse when shopping for home goods) to ensure that it will fit in your home. Take it home, try it out and if it doesn’t work out, you have 30 days to bring it back for a full refund. Just be sure to hang onto your receipt for the return!

What are you waiting for? Find your local store and go check it out this weekend. I’m sure you’ll be surprised with what gems you just might find! Below are more details about the amazing deals I found at Tuesday Morning.

  1. Just before Christmas while stopping in to see some unique ideas for Christmas gifts, I saw a couple of white high back chairs clearances for 125. Each took a couple hours to think about it. Turned back around to go get them. They were gone. So sad. Does another location have them by any chance?

  2. I shop at the Farragut, TN store and the person that helped me was SO helpful. I was trying to find my receipt but…I could not find it!!! She was so attentive to my needs and was VERY kind, very kind!! I really am sorry I could not find my receipt to give you her name. I will be shopping there soon and hope she will be there. Thank you!!!!

  3. Love our Tuesday Mornings, especially in Katy, TX. The selection and prices are terrific! Inevitably, I’ll go in for one specific item, and come out with six more unbelievable finds!

  4. You are so right about the ones in Katy, TX! I have shopped the one on Mason road for many, MANY years and now it’s no problem to zip over to the other one off I-10 in the same day! Really, the only “problem” is not spending all day in there! I think the answer is to shop for shorter times but more often!

  5. I am in Rhode Island and had no idea more stores were closing- it’s my fav of forever! Can I order online?
