Almost 2 weeks ago Hurricane Helene barreled into the Blue Ridge Mountains and forever changed our town and our beloved western North Carolina. Our online community has been so incredibly giving to us and myself and the entire team are so grateful for your generosity. So many of you donated to our GoFundMe so our part-timers would be paid this month while they are unable to work. Hundreds of you sent messages checking in.
Another way you can help support our community is by purchasing one of our Black Mountain iron-on patches! Starting today we and moving forward are going to donate 100% of the profit from this patch to Beloved Asheville. Beloved is an amazing local organization that is caring for neighbors in Black Mountain, Swannanoa, and Asheville by meeting their immediate physical needs.
While we don’t have an estimated ship date at this time, we will ship them out as soon as utilities are restored to our studio and it safe for our team to return.
Our Black Mountain iron-on patch can go on a hat, denim jacket, backpack, fanny pack, tote, or just about anything you can think of. I created this patch to celebrate our little mountain town and it features the seven sisters mountain range and Lake Tomahawk.

i love this post
I really admire how Sarah’s team is turning their personal hardship into meaningful support for the community through the Black Mountain patch—especially the decision to donate 100% of profits to Beloved Asheville. That’s such a powerful way to ensure aid reaches those who need it most, especially with immediate needs like food and shelter. I lived in Asheville for nearly a decade, and after the 2016 floods, I saw firsthand how grassroots organizations like Beloved became lifelines. When the power went out for days and roads were washed away, it wasn’t just the official shelters—local volunteers distributing water and blankets made the actual difference. That’s why direct contributions to organizations on the ground, like the ones Sarah listed, matter beyond just the numbers. It’s been inspiring to see a creative business model built on compassion, and it reminds me of why I got into AI Ad Creatives—using tech to amplify small, human-led movements.
