DIY Gold Dipped Porcelain Spoons

Love the gold and white trend? Then you'll want to make a set of mini gold dipped porcelain spoons. (Click through for video tutorial)

A couple of weeks ago I was browsing all the pretty things in the Leif shop and stumbled upon these gorgeous mini spoons. Since they weren’t something that I really needed right then, I decided to wait and try to DIY them for less. So I hopped on Amazon and found the perfect little white porcelain egg spoons for less than $7 for a set of 4. Two days later (thanks to prime) these cute little spoons arrived at my door and I immediately got DIY-ing.

I just love projects that are really easy and have a big impact and this is exactly one of those projects. In just a few minutes (plus drying time) you can have your own set of gorgeous gold dipped mini spoons. Now I just need to decide what little things I will serve them with first.

Supplies:
– white porcelain mini spoons (I found mine on Amazon)
– metallic gold paint
– small, flat paint brush
– paint thinner
– painter’s tape
– a cup of rice or dry beans

Rather than buy, DIY! These chic gold dipped spoons are less than $14 to make and are perfect for serving sauces and even salt.

Inexpensive white porcelain spoons get a makeover with metallic gold paint.

Dress up for dinner table or party buffet with some gold dipped mini spoons. (Click through for video tutorial)

Love this tutorial, so easy to follow. Do these withstand the dishwasher though? or just hand wash?

Thanks! I haven’t tried putting them in the dishwasher but they’ve held up great to hand washing.
