#BABYGIRLHEARTS 28 WEEKS PREGNANCY UPDATE

I’m officially starting the third trimester! Where has all that time gone?! Oh yeah, working like crazy and doing a huge home project between traveling and regular life stuff. That’s where! It feels like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant. Which when I’ve told that to all my mom friends they respond, “it only goes by faster.”

EATING: At the beginning of the month I had the dreaded glucose test. I tried my best to heed my doctor’s advice and cut down on sugar and carbs the month before the test. But with a trip to Tennessee the week before the test (hello biscuits, fried chicken, red velvet cake and chess pie) I really was scared I wouldn’t pass or possibly have gestational diabetes. Thankfully I passed the test and all is well.

DRINKING: Iced vanilla lattes are my jam. One shot of espresso + 1 pump of vanilla. I’ve also been loving Trader Joe’s unsweetened cold brew coffee. But don’t worry, that’s all the caffeine I’ve been having and I don’t do it daily.

READING: All the handouts from our birth class instructor. We have a thick folder full! And trying to wrap my head around writing out my birth plan. Also reading 50 Things to Do Before You Deliver: The First Time Moms Pregnancy Guide.

WANTING: All the tres leches. The cravings are real you guys. I think my body is trying to make up for the month I reduced my sugar in take.

SLEEPING:  Falling a sleep at my desk at 3pm and awake at 3am. Guess my body is getting its internal clock ready for baby too.  Added a wedge pillow to our pillow fortress aka our queen sized bed.

WEARING: Black leggings all day everyday. So much so that I got a second pair. But it’s finally starting to warm up enough to wear dresses so that’s what I plan on wearing the most for the rest of the pregnancy. Oh and I loved this shirt dress so much I bought it in denim and a rainbow plaid.

FEELING: like I can keep going at my regular (super busy) pace and then paying for it the next day. After traveling I felt achy all over and as though I was getting a cold. Thankfully it never fully developed into one but after pushing really hard on the new garage studio transformation I felt the exact same way. I think my body is trying to tell me to slow down and rest and I’m finally trying to listen.

LOVING: my baby shower is in a couple weekends and I’m so so excited. I never had a bridal or bachelorette party so this kinda my moment, I guess? My sweet mom has been working hard making the cutest decorations and I cannot wait to share it all with you!
