Fresh Orange Juice Float

Try this fresh take on an old favorite. It uses fresh orange juice and club soda to create a fizzy treat that's perfect for Halloween or anytime.

If you’ve been following my blog for awhile you probably have learned that I have a sweet tooth. I mean, I even have a Pinterest board devoted to the very topic. So when it comes to holiday cooking, desserts are my favorite festive dish to make. Holidays just always seem like the perfect reason to consume sweets because after all we are celebrating something, right?

My new favorite Halloween inspired dessert is this fresh orange juice float. It’s super simple to make and sure to become a crowd pleaser. It tastes like an orange creamsicle but rather than using orange soda, that’s packed with icky artificial sweeteners, I opted to use Natalie’s orange juice and club soda for the best tasting float ever.

If you love orange creamsicles then you will love these floats made with fresh orange juice. Click though for recipe and details on how to make the Halloween inspired glasses.

Ingredients:

– Natalie’s orange juice
– Vanilla ice cream
– Chilled club soda
– Zest of one orange

Supplies:
Highball glasses
Sheet of black adhesive vinyl
Circle paper punch, 1/2” – 3/4” diameter

Directions:
For 1 serving

1. Use the paper punch to create circle stickers with the black vinyl. Remove the backing and stick the dots on the glass in a polka dot pattern.

2. Place three scoops of vanilla ice cream in the glass.

3. Pour the orange juice over the ice cream until it’s about 3/4 of the way full.

4. Top with club soda until the glass is full and sprinkle 1 teaspoon of fresh orange zest on top. Serve with a straw and spoon and enjoy immediately!

Homemade orange cream floats sprinkled with fresh orange zest. Yum!

This recipe was created for Natalie’s. Thanks for supporting the brands that help me create delicious recipes like this one.
