Paint Dipped Alphabet Magnets

Transform kids alphabet magnets by spray painting them bright white and dipping them in paint! (click through for video tutorial)

I’ve always loved those little brightly colored letter magnets. I know they’re supposed to be for young children, but that doesn’t mean grown ups have to miss out on the fun too. I gave mine a stylish and oh-so-simple update by dipping them in a perfect spring palette of paint. And now I just cannot stop making words with them!

They would be the perfect addition to any fridge or office cubicle. And if you don’t have a magnetic surface to place them on, you could always hot glue them onto any surface! Learn how easy they are to make in the video tutorial below.

Time: 30 minutes + drying time
Supplies: alphabet magnets / white spray paint / sample jars of interior latex paint / paper straws or popsicle sticks

Hola! These DIY paint dipped alphabet magnets are so much cuter than regular kids ones. Perfect for a playroom, an office or the fridge!

Make. It. Happen. Loving these paint dipped alphabet letters. Not just for kids, they would be so cute in an office too!

this is super cute but doesn’t dipping the magnet in the paint prevent it from sticking?

Great question! Actually they still stick really well. Most of them were dipped just below the magnet so it wasn’t covered in paint.
