Happy August and happy Friday! This week’s featured links all have something in common, can you guess what it is?

Brightly colored paint!

Here are some of my favorite projects, recipes, and tutorials from this week. They each would make a fun weekend project if you’re feeling crafty.

1. This painted infinity scarf by Make and Tell for Homey Oh My! is just so pretty and painterly. It reminds me of my Anthro-inspired painted napkins too.

2. I love the way the ladies at A Beautiful Mess dressed up a plain concrete slab with this painted geometric outdoor rug. If we didn’t spend a ton putting in a paver patio, I would be doing this ASAP.

3. Plain wooden boxes get a makeover over on Little White Whale. I just can’t get over how cute they are!

I’m also loving:

The simplicity of this video tutorialΒ by West Elm on how to fold a fitted sheet. I don’t know about you but I always just smoosh them into a square-ish shape and place them in the closet and hope for the best.

This blackberry basil buttermilk ice cream recipe on Oleander & Palm sound heavenly.

I’m a big fan of the city guides over on Design Sponge and often using them when I’m visiting a city for the first time. So I’m really excited to see Asheville, one of my favorite cities, be added to the list.
