Home Office Studio Craft Room

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

We have been home owners for a little over 3 months now and I’m learning that there is always something to do! Over the past month I have focused all my free-time on organizing, painting, and completing my home office. My sweet husband agreed that we should use one of the bedrooms as my office/studio/craft room. Its a tiny room (9′ x 11′) with one medium sized closet. We created a built-in L shaped desk using table tops from Ikea, a 1″ x 2″ piece of lumbar, and L brackets. We utilized every bit of space in the closet by installing shelving. The final product is shown below.

Some of you may be asking, where has sarah hearts been? It’s true, I have been MIA lately. I just finished up teaching and now I am officially doing Sarah Hearts full time! I have spent the past couple of weeks working like crazy to launch my new line at the Sophisticated Bridal Showcase in Kissimmee, Florida. I am happy to say that I will be updating the blog on a regular basis with all sorts of things I find inspiring. The photo above is Kevin and I at the Sophisticated Bridal Showcase in Kissimmee.

brides florida!

Friday, March 6th, 2009

As soon as our wonderful wedding photographers Brian and Briana Elledge posted a few photos of our wedding on their blog both Brides Florida and the Knot asked them to do a feature on our wedding. Brides Florida approached them first and got the feature! The magazine hit newsstands in Florida this week, but has not made it to Orlando yet. For those of you outside of Florida, I have posted the article below via Divine Light Wedding Photography’s blog.

I just competed this poster for Summit church. It is one part of a 6 piece series illustrating their core values. Each “value” will be illustrated by a different designer.

img_0022.JPGgreat quote i have kept on the board for a while when my server was down and the kids couldn’t access their projects, “think with your mind. forget technology. creativity is not device dependent.”

img_0024.JPG  you can guess where the trouble makers like to sit. anyone have any advice on how to better utilize the space in the room? it’s pretty tiny for a computer lab.

divine light wedding photography did an amazing job AGAIN! brian and briana shot our engagement photos back in august. you can look at entry about that here. here are a few of my favorites so far. you can go to their blog to view the first edits. if you are looking for a photographer to shoot any event for you (they even do senior portraits) please give them a call. their rates are reasonable, their work is incredible, and they are very do-to-earth people. i will be bragging about them as more photos come my way. for now… enjoy!01_sk.jpg14_sk.jpg09_sk.jpg02_sk.jpg25_sk.jpg
